Johnsons Apparelmaster achieves FTA Compliance Award

Tuesday 19 April 2016

Workwear rental specialist Johnsons Apparelmaster has been presented with the Freight Transport Association Tachofta Compliance Award in recognition of its high standards of driver compliance and management of infringements.

This is Johnson’s second annual award and the high standards at its Brighton depot in particular were highlighted this year. The site stood out with an extremely low average number of its core routemen having infringements on a daily basis. Additionally, it had the lowest percentage of routemen with repeat contraventions indicating the robust systems in place monitoring driver performance.

Mark Shergold, Key Account Contract Manager for FTA said: "Using FTA’s innovative Visionfta compliance solution has enabled Johnsons to effectively analyse and interpret its tachograph data to minimise risk and maintain high standards across its operation. FTA is delighted to recognise Johnsons’ success.”

Terrie Clifton, National Logistics Manager at Johnsons, commented: “With the roll-out of the Digi Post Pro boxes to all sites and fully utilising Visionfta and the Gateway, we have made further progress in 2015 by reducing repeat infringements and reducing the number of infringements as a whole across all sites.

“Our site in Brighton deserves special recognition of its achievement. At Johnsons Apparelmaster, infringement levels are reviewed and monitored by all management functions within the business, working with and supporting our routemen. Training, assessments, documentation and information is provided to all routemen to ensure their understanding of the legal obligations. Management of infringements is crucial to reducing any contraventions and Brighton is leading the way in its dedicated approach to continuous improvement in all areas of Transport.”
