What We’ve Been Doing

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA is available in the “Account Settings” section of Vision. We strongly recommend that it is used to ensure your data is kept as secure as possible. We will be forcing all companies to enable MFA on their account by January 2027. Full details can be found here

Employee Reviews

The move of Driver Debrief into Employee Reviews is taking shape, with delivery scheduled for January. The tacho infringement review will offer features similar to the existing Debrief, plus an option to select triggers for all drivers as well as updating the option for individual drivers. Once Tacho infringement reviews are delivered,we will enable the feature for all accounts so that old debrief tool and Tacho Infringement reviews will run side by side whilst you become familiar with it.

Drivers Hours Drivers Hours – Drivers Hours and PSV Rules- The rewrite of drivers’ hours to the new architecture is completed and is now running through a test harness to compare all outcomes across all accounts highlighting any differences between the new and the old. This test harness is part of the development which makes a huge difference in ensuring confidence when we finally swap the hours calculation from the old to the new.

Work on the GB Domestic PSV rules and the postponement of weekly rest for coaches on EU rules on international journeys will go out into to the test harness this month. This will allow us to ensure those drivers and vehicles set as PSV on GB Domestic rules will be analysed under the new rules. We hope to release the PSV rules in January, but if you would like to know more please contact [email protected]

Fleet Workshop- The team have started work bringing our vehicle inspections into the Fleet Planner to enhance our Fleet offering. This will be available at the end of the year

Occasional Drivers- We will shortly be starting work on this new feature in Vision. Traffic Commissioners are keen for companies to monitor those drivers who drive occasionally to ensure when they reach the relevant threshold for the reference period they come into scope of Working time rules. This new feature will include:

  •  Occasional Driver status is used for those employees that drive rarely
  • Count driver days in the reference period
  • Alert when they are about to come into scope
  • Repot on the days worked

Reporting-The standardisation of reporting will be completed on this release, with just the hierarchies to add to relevant reports taking place in November and December

The dashboards have all been updated and the URLs will be available following the release if members to have a look prior to go live in November. Please contact [email protected] if you would like a look.

We have updated the following dashboards:

  • Driver Debriefs
  • Driver Uploads
  • Lead In / Lead Out
  • Manual Entries
  • Missing Data
  • Tacho Asset Missing Mileage
  • Tacho Asset Uploads
  • Infringement Overview
  • Combined Tacho Dashboard
  • Repeat Infringements

They all include an active/inactive filter as well as the ability to export the data in a uniform manor that gets rid of merged cells that cause our customers issues. Initially we are sharing the URLs with any members who would like a first look before we release them at the end of November If you who would like to look at the dashboards, please contact [email protected]

Vision Updates

Please note- in response to our customer feedback we will not be carrying out any releases in December, our last release for the year will take place at the end of November. If there are any critical issues however we will of course carry out hot fixes.

Checks- Outstanding Defects- Where a check has been carried out and there is an outstanding Defect, this will continue to show regardless of the walkaround template selected:

Earned Recognition – The new Earned Recognition dashboards will be available in this release.

The updates will allow you to see your ER results for:

  • Maintenance KPI’s– when you take the Fleet and Checks features in Vision
  • Both Dashboards can be enabled for your account without the data being sent to DVSA
  • Vision is an accredited supplier for Driver KPI’s

The dashboard is accessed via the Dashboard Icon on the left-hand side of the Vision screen:

Full details on how to use the dashboards can be found here
