FTA to bring the debate to Multimodal

Monday 22 March 2010

The latest logistics information services available from the Freight Transport Association (FTA) will be on display at this year's Multimodal Show. The leading trade body will also be inviting all delegates to join a session of its International Supply Chain Forum (ISCF).

Roy Bufton from 3M chairs the ISCF.  He said:

“This Forum guides FTA's industry, lobbying and campaigning activities in international movements of goods, so it will be interesting to bring the ISCF to an even wider audience. Shippers, operators and infrastructure providers across all modes participate in the Forum and all are welcome at Multimodal.

“There will be no shortage of issues to discuss. Hot topics like, for example, improving port access and the future economic climate will be addressed and the Forum will deal with both operational challenges and public policy issues. I look forward to welcoming Multimodal attendees to the ISCF.”

FTA’s stand (730, Hall 4) will feature its Logistics Buyer Information Service, a knowledge-based service providing subscribers with best practice guides and case studies along with access to insightful key statistics, forecasts and commentary plus regular news updates. An online demonstration will be available on the stand.

FTA’s policy team will also be on hand to discuss the ongoing representational work it is engaged in, from maritime competition and climate change to port access and rail’s strategic freight network.
