Here is the news ... Kate Silverton to present Logistics Showcase
Thursday 04 March 2010
Kate Silverton, hugely popular presenter and journalist, will provide another good reason for the logistics sector to celebrate its successes when she hosts the inaugural Logistics Showcase on 13 April 2010.
With her trademark blend of warmth and humour, Kate Silverton will undoubtedly prove a massive hit with an audience comprising the great and good of the logistics sector.
Jo Tanner of the Freight Transport Association, which is organising the event, said:
“Logistics deserves to be headline news for the massive part it plays in keeping our homes, shops, hospitals and businesses running. So who better than Kate Silverton to present the sector’s very own night of celebration?”
During the glamorous black tie event, audience members will be treated to the premiere of four short films, each revealing the positive impact the logistics sector has on different areas of our lives, from entertainment to healthcare.
Tanner continued:
“The Logistics Showcase is all about bringing the industry’s many achievements from behind the scenes to centre stage. We should not be shy in blowing our own trumpet and it is great news that someone with the profile, professionalism and sparkle that Kate brings will be able to help us share in our successes.”
The Logistics Showcase is set to be the must-attend event in the transport calendar and will take place on Tuesday 13 April, the first night of the CVO Show, at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham.
