Programme Overview

Within the conference we have three theatres that will be running a full programme of plenary speaker sessions, interactive sessions and panel discussions. There will be plenty to learn with speakers from all areas of the logistics industry.

Theatre 1 - Tools, technologies and the future of transport

Despite all the hype about self-driving vehicles, the reality is they are still a long way away, but other technologies, such as gas, hydrogen and electricity are reshaping the way our fleets look and work. New ideas such as Virtual DCs also call for new approaches. All will be discussed in this theatre’s packed programme.

Theatre 2 - Managing people in a connected world

These sessions focus on the human aspects of how opportunities like Artificial Intelligence, autonomous transport, the gig economy, lack of new entrants and other ‘soft’ aspects are affecting the future shape of the industry.

The combination of an exponential growth in last mile deliveries, too many vehicles and not enough tarmac, means government is demanding more efficient and novel ways of getting goods to customers. These sessions look at the big picture and how businesses need to redesign their operations to survive.
