Generation Logistics – year four sponsorship opportunities now available

One of the key issues that has hindered recruitment in the past is the relative invisibility of the sector to young potential candidates – something which is being addressed by the Generation Logistics campaign. And as Bethany Windsor, Head of Skills Policy explains, while the results of the activity have been impressive thus far, the job is far from done:

“Generation Logistics has brought the sector a long way towards changing its image among the talented individuals that we need to futureproof our pipeline of employees moving forwards,” she explains, “using eye-catching social media campaigns, and talking directly to educators and influencers to change perceptions.”

In less than three years of our multi-award winning campaign, we have created over 5.5 million social media engagements with our content and improved positive sentiment towards careers in our sector by an impressive 212% – but this is wasted effort if we do not continue the campaign. Logistics is competing to attract talent with better-known industries like healthcare, manufacturing and retail, which means we need to maintain the visibility we have built up over the past two and a half years. Otherwise, we will simply slip back into the shadows and our recruitment woes will escalate once again.”

To ensure that logistics can continue to attract people with the passion and potential to thrive, the sponsorship packages for the fourth year of the Generation Logistics campaign, to run from January 2026, have just been launched. With opportunities for sponsorship ranging from just £3,000 per annum, it is hoped that Logistics UK members will consider stepping up as individual sponsors to ensure the continued flow of new candidates into the industry.

“Some people may say they don’t have a significant recruitment issue at present,” continues Windsor, “but our message still needs to get through to potential recruits of the future – until logistics is spoken of in the same breath as hospitality, technology or accountancy (incidentally, all areas which can be seen within logistics businesses) we will continue to struggle to recruit a steady stream of future talent into our sector. Our new sponsorship packages offer a range of opportunities for businesses from local advertising of vacancies through to national campaign implementation – there really is something for everyone. I hope Logistics UK members will join us in pulling together another exciting year of activity to put our sector firmly on the careers map.”
