Transport Operations Supervisor Apprenticeship

This programme is ideally suited to employees working in the Transport and Logistics sector who wish to progress to a Transport Manager role. This occupation can be found across a range of organisations, including but not limited to hauliers, storage and warehouse operators, couriers, retailers, and utilities. At this level, Transport Supervisors are integral to successful daily operations in a fast-paced and varied environment. 

 

The learner will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours within the many duties required of the occupation.   

 

The Transport Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations involved in supply chain management, ensuring activity and vehicles meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. They will deliver departmental and organisational objectives effectively and efficiently and ensure compliant, safe, and secure working within their workplace.  

 

In their daily work, an employee in this occupation will interact with various stakeholders across several organisations and professions. Transport supervisors would lead a team that would vary in size depending on the organisation and regularly engage with external customers and third-party agents. 

 

Transport supervisors must keep up to date with recent transport regulations and legislation and be aware of best practice transport operations to ensure compliant, secure, and safe working within the organisation's policy and procedures.   

This apprenticeship journey will involve studying and achieving the following: 

Level 2 in English and maths (if not already achieved) 

TMCPC (Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competency)
