Tim Campbell

Tim is one of the leading consultants in helping fleets transition from diesel to electric / hydrogen fuel cell and has over 35 years experience of working in the commercial vehicle industry. He started work as a Research & Development engineer for a UK truck manufacturer quickly moving into fleet sales for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and then National Fleet Manager for Leyland DAF. Later on he ran 400 vans and truck as contract hire and rental Director for a subsidiary of Societe Generale. He decided to setup his own company which became Europe’s leading commercial vehicle only research company working around around the world on various commercial vehicle projects and now concentrates on consultancy managing the transition from diesel to electric / hydrogen fuel cell for key players in the sector.

He was recently the Senior Commercial Vehicle Consultant for the UK National Grid,Ventures Division, looking at the strategic implications of the UK’s route to zero emissions in the van and truck sector upto 2040.

Tim holds Galileo Master Certificate in Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage from the European Energy Centre, is a council member of Zemo, contributed to the government’s Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce Report and consulted on the Government Consultation document on the route to zero for heavy trucks. Which set out the path to zero emissions for trucks upto and including class 8 by 2035.

 

Martin Palmer

Martin has over 25 years supply chain experience working with the largest global manufacturers’ retailers and ecommerce providers as well as in the public sector. Martin has now been consulting for over three years, prior to this being Group Commercial Director and Development  & Business Unit Director with some of the largest providers of transportation and logistics services in the UK. In each case leading teams explicitly created to find innovative supply chain solutions which has meant being at the forefront of modern thinking to deliver tangible benefits.

His supply chain consultant work has led to new areas of expertise in the Public Sector, Urban Logistics and the Environmental Supply Chain. These services go beyond the traditional areas of logistics leading to working with some leading property developers and Councils. The common factor is always finding new ways to rethink supply chains and the forces that act on them to resolve issues that organisations face and make them ready to meet their strategic plans.

Martin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and also a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing.

 

Paul Wilson

Paul started his logistics career in the late 80s working with the leading 3PLs and supply chain management companies in solutions, implementations and technology design and initiation roles before spending three years transforming one of the government departments’ UK Supply Chain activities, reducing the overall headcount by over 2000 FTEs whilst also reducing lead-times from an average of 56 days to five working days for a non-urgent items.

Paul has been consulting with various businesses for over 12 years now across healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, food manufacturing, retail and online environments. Paul’s recent projects include supporting hospital trusts and developers in meeting the challenges posed by city planners, growing congestion, urban emissions targets and EVs.
