Logistics UK surveys
Logistics UK uses a range of member surveys to gather evidence about the challenges, opportunities and trends affecting the logistics sector. These surveys are a key part of how the organisation represents its members to government, regulators and other stakeholders.
Member survey results are shared anonymously and in aggregated forms to highlight findings with government officials, MPs, industry regulators and the sector itself to demonstrate the performance of the sector and support policy priorities.
For members, completing our surveys is one of the most direct ways to help shape the future of the sector.
Why our surveys are important:
Survey results provide evidence that Logistics UK can use when engaging with ministers, officials and regulators.
Alongside anecdotal examples, survey findings present robust data showing how policies and the economy affect logistics businesses in practice.
The more members participate, the more accurately Logistics UK can represent the sector’s needs.
Survey findings help shape campaigns on issues such as infrastructure investment, skills, decarbonisation, planning, taxation and trade.
Members gain insight into how their experiences compare with those of other logistics businesses.
Reports highlight industry-wide trends and emerging risks, helping businesses plan and make informed decisions.
Surveys provide an early warning of issues affecting the sector, such as labour shortages, rising costs, border friction or regulatory burdens.
This enables Logistics UK to respond quickly and advocate for solutions, with results used in government consultation responses, at meetings and roundtables with officials and in the media.
Survey results are used to inform the analysis in several Logistics UK publications, including the annual Logistics Report, which provide annual benchmarking and insight on the sector.
Publications are shared with stakeholders to inform the latest industry performance.
