Passengerfta to launch new service at Euro Bus 2010
Monday 18 October 2010
Passengerfta will be launching its new Passenger Transport Information and Compliance Service (PTICS) at Euro Bus Expo 2010, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from Tuesday 2 to Thursday 4 November.
Industry best practice for PCVs
With the rules and regulations affecting the operation of passenger vehicles constantly changing, and enforcement agencies becoming increasingly targeted in their approach, it is of vital importance for managers and supervisors with responsibility for their organisation’s O-licensed passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) fleet to have clear advice and information on the accepted industry best practice.
The PTICS service is a complete resource for the legal operation of PCVs, consisting of a straightforward, easy-to-follow support guide giving clear advice on the accepted industry best practice which is essential to keep the operation legal, and which will be continually updated to ensure it remains current. Subscribers will also receive email updates, have access to a dedicated website and access by telephone to the Passengerfta Compliance Advice Centre.
From November, PTICS can be combined with an audit-based solution for PCV operators, including value-added vehicle inspections and tachograph analysis.
FTA at the Euro Bus event
FTA's stand at the Euro Bus Expo event will also include details of a training service combining technical training to IRTEC licensing standards with competence-based assessments. A Passenger Driver CPC option is also available, which includes O-licence Awareness Training.
Visitors to the stand can also discover the capabilities of the Reporting Gateway, an interactive online service that gives a clear overview of an operator’s drivers’ hours and tachograph compliance. The user can ‘drill down’ through reports to show detail by region, depot or even by each individual driver within that depot.
The stand will also be promoting Bus and Coach Engineering 2011, a one-day technical conference being jointly organised by the Freight Transport Association, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Road Transport Engineers - a Professional Sector of the Society of Operations Engineers. The conference will take place on Wednesday 16 February 2011 at One Birdcage Walk, London SW1.
