FTA website gets extreme makeover
Monday 04 October 2010
Today sees the launch of the Freight Transport Association’s brand-new website. Visitors to www.fta.co.uk will benefit from improved site navigation, a clearer layout and easier access to a raft of useful information via links and downloadable documents. Mobile phone users will also be able to view the website in a far more user-friendly format.
FTA asked frequent users of its website what they wanted to see improved. The result is a simple, clutter-free and easy-to-use website which provides easy access to the sort of transport law and compliance information and guidance that the UK’s leading transport trade body is known for.
FTA’s Chief Executive, Theo de Pencier, said:
“The old website was over ten years old and, although adequate, we felt it wasn’t giving our members the service they should expect. FTA’s treasure trove of valuable and regularly updated information is as deep as ever, but FTA members and site visitors will be able to locate what they are looking for much more quickly and with less hassle, even if they are on the move.”
The FTA site receives in excess of two million hits every month.
