Tuesday 18 July 2023

Due to huge popular demand, business group Logistics UK has extended the entry deadlines for both its Logistics Awards and Van Awards 2023 until 5pm on Friday 28 July to enable interested businesses to complete their entries.

Taking place at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 07 December 2023, the prestigious Logistics UK Logistics Awards brings together the whole industry to recognise and celebrate both individual and business achievements across the past twelve months. The winners of each category will be announced at an elegant reception and three course dinner with entertainment. Those wishing to enter this year’s Logistics Awards should visit www.logistics.org.uk/logistics23 for more information.

The Van Awards will be taking place on 15 September 2023 at the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham with shortlisted applicants in each of the categories invited to the celebratory awards lunch. The awards are supported by the Van Gold Partners The AA, Brigade Electronics, Lex Autolease, TVL Security and Webfleet. The winners of each of the awards will form the shortlist for the Van Business of the Year award, to be presented at the Logistics Awards 2023. David Wells, Logistics UK’s Chief Executive, comments: “The logistics industry is an extraordinary asset to the UK and its economy, keeping supply chains protected and our country moving. We have had unprecedented interest in entering the awards this year, but understand the demanding nature of the sector has made time tight for some potential entrants: we have decided to extend the submissions deadline for both of these long-awaited events to allow deserving applicants more time to enter.”

Logistics UK is one of the UK’s leading business groups, representing logistics businesses which are vital to keeping the UK trading, and more than seven million people directly employed in the making, selling and moving of goods. With COVID-19, Brexit, new technology and other disruptive forces driving change in the way goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to UK plc. Logistics UK supports, shapes and stands up for safe and efficient logistics, and is the only business group which represents the whole industry, with members from the road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers whose businesses depend on the efficient movement of goods.
