Trudy Harrison MP to speak at this week's Future Logistics Conference at ITT Hub

Tuesday 10 May 2022

Logistics UK is excited to welcome Trudy Harrison MP – Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport (DfT) – as keynote speaker on day two of its Future Logistics Conference, to be held alongside ITT Hub which takes place this week (11 and 12 May) at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The Minister’s speech – Keynote on Decarbonising Transport: Delivering a Zero-Emission Road Freight Fleet – will be an unmissable highlight of the two-day conference, which will host a broad range of expert speakers drawn from the commercial transport, passenger transport, automotive, technology, finance and energy sectors, including world-renowned scientist, Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE.

Transport Minister Trudy Harrison said: “The UK is leading the way in the drive towards achieving net zero by 2050, and decarbonising transport is a key priority for this government.

“Our vital freight industry is already making strides towards low emission fleets and operations but we know there’s still work to be done to ensure the way we transport goods is kinder to the environment. That’s why the Future Logistics Conference is an ideal opportunity for industry experts to share their ideas and innovation as we work towards an emission free future.”

Other sessions at the free-to-attend conference will look at the future for autonomous deliveries, the options for investment in low carbon fuels for HGVs, making the switch to electric vans – sponsored by Bridgestone and Webfleet Solutions – and futureproofing the supply chain.

ITT Hub: Tomorrow’s Technology Today, is the annual landmark event for the commercial road transport sector, bringing together the latest innovation and technology for bus, coach, truck, van, last mile and autonomous vehicle fleets.
