Members urged to complete Logistics Performance Tracker survey

Logistics UK is encouraging its members to complete its latest quarterly Logistics Performance Tracker Survey, to help it take the temperature of the logistics sector during a time of rising costs and supply chain disruption.

Taking around five to seven minutes to complete, the survey contains questions on driver retention, which were requested by the Department for Transport (DfT) team working on addressing skills shortages in the sector. For those who operate vehicles, the tracker includes Logistics UK’s ninth national survey focused on the roles and responsibilities of transport managers in the road freight sector.

The business group is also inviting its members to join the Logistics UK Industry Panel and share their views on the issues affecting businesses in logistics during the second quarter of 2022. Members who become Panel Members will receive a detailed industry report of the survey results.

Sarah Watkins, Deputy Director – Policy Information, Logistics UK, said: “Since we launched the Logistics Performance Tracker during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our survey work has enabled us to make effective cases for many easements and relaxations with government – including those on testing, drivers’ hours and driver licensing.

“By completing the survey or joining the Industry Panel, you will be helping to inform our important work with government to ensure that the logistics sector has the workforce it needs to continue delivering for UK plc.”

The survey will remain open until next Tuesday (19 July 2022). Individual survey responses will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third party other than in an aggregated form.
