Last chance to book for Logistics UK’s Next Generation Van conference
With less than a week to go until Logistics UK’s Next Generation Van conference, the business group is urging anyone who wishes to attend to book now to avoid disappointment.
Taking place in Coventry on 11 July 2023, the conference will provide operators with the latest information and insights needed to meet upcoming challenges across the sector.
Delegates will hear from Shadow Minister (Business and Industrial Strategy) Bill Esterson MP in a session that examines progress on decarbonising commercial vehicles, in addition to a range of industry experts who will provide updates on manufacturer supply and demand, as well as an HS2 project update in relation to anticipated disruptions, improvements and changes to the road network, and key trends across the sector.
Further decarbonisation-related sessions will include a discussion on the findings from this year’s EV Rally and whether UK roads are ready for electric vehicle operations, a practical case study exploring fleet transition and a focus on EV charging and using home charging for company vans.
“We are delighted to once again be hosting our Next Generation Van conference,” says Denise Beedell, Senior Policy Manager at Logistics UK, who will be speaking at the conference.
“This is an exciting agenda packed full of topical insights and updates that promises to initiate engaging discussions between speakers and attendees.
“Vans play a crucial role within the logistics industry – and wider UK economy – and with the sector experiencing significant and rapid changes, the Next Generation Van conference provides a timely opportunity to keep up to date with the latest information.
“Whether you run a large national fleet or just one or two vans, I urge you to book your tickets now to find out how to ensure your future van operations remain as efficient as possible.”
Next Generation Van is supported by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners The AA, Brigade Electronics, Lex Autolease, TVL and Webfleet.

Commercial Electric Vehicle use in non-urban areas – invitation to participate in DfT and Cranfield University research
The Department for Transport is sponsoring research in partnership with Cranfield University on the use of electric vehicles beyond the urban delivery cycle and are seeking participants that can provide insights into the operational practices and fuel strategies of businesses now using battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in non-urban areas.
The study will also consider the financial and commercial solutions necessary to promote the widespread use of BEVs in non-urban freight transport. If you operate BEVs away from urban areas and are interested in taking part, please email Denise Beedell.
