DVSA to provide essential enforcement update at Logistics UK’s Fleet Engineer Conference

Representatives from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are the latest speakers confirmed for Logistics UK’s 2021 Fleet Engineer Conference, an unmissable event for anyone with responsibility for specifying commercial vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance, and maintaining fleets.

Taking place at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire on 7 September 2021, the one-day conference will provide delegates with an opportunity to hear about the very latest developments in commercial vehicle technology, future vehicle design, maintenance legislation changes, and good practice advice from leading names from across the sector.

The Enforcement Policy Manager and the Technical Standards Manager at the DVSA, Dave Wood and Russell Hall respectively, will be providing delegates with an essential update on the Agency’s approach to modern fleet maintenance.

THE ESSENTIAL EVENT FOR ALL FLEET ENGINEERS

Phil Lloyd, Head of Engineering Policy at Logistics UK, said: “I am thrilled DVSA will be providing a vital overview of the Agency’s approach to vehicle maintenance at this year’s Fleet Engineer, including its plans to modernise MOT testing. Mr Wood and Mr Hall will also be explaining the Agency’s new investigations process.

“As vehicle and trailer technology continues to evolve at a rapid rate, it is vital that engineers stay abreast of the latest developments and enforcement policies; Fleet Engineer truly is the unmissable event for anyone responsible for maintenance of fleets.”

AN EXPERT RANGE OF SPEAKERS

Mr Wood and Mr Hall will be joined by an expert range of speakers, including Kevin Rooney, the Traffic Commissioner for the West of England, and senior representatives from IVECO, Warburton, Volvo, Renault, BPW Limited, TIP Trailer Services, Royal Mail, TEXA UK Ltd, and Siemens Mobility.

The event is sponsored by VARTA Batteries, UK Recovery (AA), Tip Europe and TotalKare. Warehouse and Logistics Magazine is the media partner, and V L Test Systems and Renault Trucks are silver sponsors.
