A month in the media - June 2025

June has been a busy month for Logistics UK’s media team, providing comment and opinion to journalists on a variety of issues and ensuring that the views of its members maintain a significant presence in the headlines.

The team has generated significant coverage on topics affecting the logistics industry, including the Lower Thames Crossing, decarbonisation and The Logistics Report 2025. Between 28 May and 25 June 2025, 194 items of editorial coverage were placed by the team, creating the opportunity for over 1.3 billion people to see or hear Logistics UK’s point of view.

The month ahead

The media team will continue to raise awareness of members’ opinions on issues affecting the sector, including decarbonisation, trade and border issues. The team will continue to focus on the industry’s skills shortages, promoting the Generation Logistics campaign at every opportunity and highlighting the need for improved driver facilities. Plans are under way for the promotion of Logistics UK’s exciting 2025 events programme, including Transport Manager 2025, which is in its 25th year, and this year’s Logistics Awards.

Have you got a story? If you are keen to speak to the media about a pressing issue – from skills shortages to fuel costs, urban restrictions to future logistics – or to highlight some of the great work your organisation is doing, we would love to hear from you as journalists are always keen to hear from those affected by issues.

We are also keen to publicise those with personal achievements to shout about – maybe staff members who have received special awards or with unusual hobbies or expertise.

And as always, the media is keen to talk to women working across the industry – we are particularly on the lookout for female drivers who are happy to talk to the press.

Please contact the media team at press.office@logistics.org.uk – we look forward to hearing from you!
