Campaign highlight - Dual market access for Northern Ireland

Logistics UK continues to work on behalf of members to maximise trade and investment opportunities from Northern Ireland's unique dual-market access position.

Logistics UK was recently invited by the Department for Economy and Invest Northern Ireland to be part of their Dual Market Access Forum, which brings business representatives, NI officials and UK officials together to  agree on informational and promotional needs, and through co-design, seek to help businesses navigate new trading arrangements and maximise opportunities under Northern Ireland's unique dual market access.

The first meeting of the forum took place on Tuesday 8 October at Invest NI Headquarters in Belfast. As well as getting an update from UK officials on parcel and customs changes under the Windsor Framework and new EU General Product Safety Regulations, the forum discussed priorities for partnership working to support businesses in Northern Ireland to grow their external sales and sell NI’s unique USP of dual market access to overseas buyers to attract manufacturing inward investment.
