Q) With regards the recent changes and the Driver CPC reform, we have a standard international operator licence, but my driver only has a driver qualification card that reads ‘Domestic UK use only’. Are they OK to drive on an international operator licence?
A) Your driver is fine to continue to drive on a standard international operator licence, however, they will not be able to carry out journeys to the EU or the Republic of Ireland as they only have a Driver Qualification Card that reads Domestic use only, so they can only drive within Great Britain.

Q) I have been told that the legislation has finally been introduced relating to the category B driving licence derogation, meaning that our drivers no longer need five hours of training in order to be permitted to drive alternatively fuelled vehicles up to 4.25t, is this correct?
A) This legislation to remove the requirement to drive alternatively fuelled vehicles up to 4.25t has been signed into law and will come into force on Tuesday 10 June. All current legislation and requirements will remain in force until this date.
