TfL - Congestion Charge proposals

TfL’s proposals include a change in the charge level from £15 to £18, a new discount for electric vehicles and a change to the Residents’ Discount for new applicants. If introduced, the proposals would begin to come into effect from January 2026. Opened 27/05/2025 – closes 04/08/2025.

As part of the Independent Review, Lord Murphy sought input from relevant stakeholders regarding the Windsor Framework. He invited those with insights, experiences, comments or concerns related to the Framework to share their views in written format, ensuring that a wide range of perspectives is considered. Opened 24/03/2025 – closed 31/05/2025.

 

OTC - Review of the Senior Traffic Commissioner’s Statutory Document: Vocational Driver Conduct

Sought views on proposed revisions to the Senior Traffic Commissioner’s statutory document on vocational driver conduct. Opened 17/04/2025 – closed 29/05/2025.

 

Scottish Government - Just Transition: draft plan for transport in Scotland

This draft plan identified the key challenges and opportunities that the transport sector faces in making a just transition to net zero. Opened 24/02/2025 – closed 19/05/2025.

29/05/2025 – DfT - Transport hazard summary: cold weather

Provides information about coldweather-associated risks to UK transport organisations.

 

29/05/2025 – DfT - Driving an electric or hydrogen-powered vehicle

Information on weight limits and how to safely drive zero emission vehicles that have a maximum authorised mass between 3,500kg and 4,250kg.

 

23/05/2025 - DVSA - Apple Pay and Google Pay can be used to pay a DVSA roadside fine from 28 May

DVSA is changing the company which allows it to take payments for roadside fines on 28 May 2025.

 

09/05/2025 – DfT - First HS2 rail tunnel breakthrough completed in Birmingham, as project reaches latest milestone

Longest railway tunnel ever built in West Midlands will help bring £10 billion into the region’s economy over the next decade.
