In this thought-provoking talk, Chris Powell, Partner in the Weightmans' transport law team will re-examine the wider role and legal responsibilities of Transport Managers through the prisms of employment law duties, transport regulation, GDPR, health and safety, workplace mental health and more.

In this interactive session, Logistics UK will discuss the latest developments in relation to autonomous vehicles, what they could mean for transport operations and the future of the Transport Manager’s role.

Driver Focus: Finding and keeping the best!

It goes without saying, that drivers are your most assets and without them you are unable to run your operation.

Andrew's session will look at the following areas to ensure that you get the best and keep the drivers for your operation: recruitment best practice; driver onboarding and induction; setting and embedding the right cultures and behaviours; ensuring effective ongoing training; effective management of health and wellbeing issues; agency relationship management and continuous monitoring and safety improvement.
