Phil Roe, President, Logistics UK

Phil joined Logistics UK as President in April 2022 after 5 years as a non-executive Director. Prior to joining he was a board Director at DHL Supply Chain which was the culmination of his 35 year career with DHL and XPO. He is also a non-executive Director and trustee at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport

Phil has substantial experience of supply chain leadership across multiple customers, sectors and geographies, with 35 years’ experience in a variety of senior leadership roles within operations and functional areas. These include Managing Director, Chief Operations Officer and  Chief Customer Officer and Strategy Director.

Louise Hellem, Chief Economist, CBI

Louise is the Chief Economist at the CBI. She and her team provide business leaders with advice on the UK economic outlook and global risks and leads in setting out the business view on economic policy in discussions with senior politicians and policymakers. Louise also oversees the CBI’s economic consultancy business CBI Economics. Previously, Louise was the Director of Economic Policy at the CBI. Prior to that, Louise spent 13 years at HM Treasury as a member of the Government Economic Service, where she led on a number of different analytical and policy issues, including assessing the economic and distributional impacts of policy measures at fiscal events.
