Einride is working with retailer Coop in Sweden to electrify regional deliveries, using its intelligent freight mobility ecosystem, Saga AI, to integrate electric trucks and charging infrastructure. It covers 23 stores in Sweden’s Uppland region and more than 659,000km annually.

The partnership demonstrates how digitalisation and electrification can be rapidly scaled within regional transport networks and offers a model for the distribution of food and consumer goods globally.

France: 

Milence, a joint venture between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP and Volvo Group has launched a cross-border initiative to demonstrate the operational and economic viability of electric road freight for Europe.

The Power to Go Further tour will cover 1,000km from Paris to Berlin using electric trucks and charge exclusively at Milence hubs, six of which are funded by the EU under the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF). Milence is in the process of building a large public charging network dedicated to heavy duty transport, with 33 already in play.

The Netherlands: 

Kempower has supplied infrastructure for a heavy-duty fast-charging station in Rotterdam operated by WattHub. Located at the Rotterdam World Gateway terminal at the Port of Rotterdam, the charging infrastructure serves trucks travelling to and from the port and off-highway vehicles working around the terminal.

The 5,000m² plaza recently opened with 30 Kempower chargers live, delivering up to 400kW per plug. A further 1,500m² and 2,100kW of additional charging power will be added before the second half of this year, enough for another 10 vehicles.
