In an age of staff shortages, an evolving workforce demographic, ever increasing regulation and rapid technological change, it is more important than ever for transport managers to understand their wider legal responsibilities not just as compliance officers, but as managers in the 2024 workforce. In this thought-provoking talk, Chris Powell, Partner in the Weightmans' transport law team will re-examine the wider role and legal responsibilities of TMs through the prisms of employment law duties.

 

Revision of the Transport Manager syllabus 

With the content of the Transport Manager CPC syllabus dating from 2009, when the regulations were last amended, is it now time for this fundamental qualification to have a refresh? This session will give Transport Managers the opportunity to offer their views on how the content could be changed in the future.
