FTA offers a number of different inspections and audits to reduce the maintenance costs and allow for the early detection of defects, thus increasing reliability guaranteeing peace of mind that you are operating legally, safely and efficiently.

Our passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) inspections cover all types of vehicles within the PCV sector. All inspections are completed by irtec assessed engineers to one UKAS-accredited inspection service, this service being available nationwide to assist with the effective management of your fleet.

All VIS reports are available in Vision – allowing users to manage driver and fleet compliance via a single portal and providing a unique view of their organisations.

FTA have recently completed our 750,000th inspection and 50% of the inspections we carried out were Roadworthiness Inspections.

Logistics UK offers Defra Vehicle Inspections to give you confidence in your compliance within the EC regulation. We are appointed by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as a competent body - achieved by UKAS accreditation.

Pre-Purchase inspections

Pre-Purchase Inspections provide information on the condition of a second-hand vehicle that you are looking to purchase. With the inspection you will receive a full maintenance inspection, a standard road and brake test, plus a report on the details of the vehicle.
