RHA FTA Fuel Card - a huge success at the pumps

The RHA FTA Fuel Card has drawn 5 million litres of fuel in a month, saving members a combined £150,000 against national average pump prices in December 2013.

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Freight Transport Association (FTA), jointly launched the RHA FTA Fuel Card on 1 March 2013, which has grown in popularity with the freight and logistics industry. Free to new subscribers for the first 12 months of use, it offers both RHA and FTA members exclusive access to discounted fuel with savings of *£125 a month per HGV on pump prices, and can be used at over 1,800 sites nationwide.

Sam Law, FTA's General Manager - Shopfta, FTA Affinities and PCN Administration Service said:

"At a time when fuel represents nearly 40 per cent of operators' costs, it is essential that every penny is made to count, and the RHA FTA Fuel Card offers members the perfect opportunity to save."

As part of FTA's 125th anniversary celebrations throughout 2014, each month FTA members who are new subscribers to the association's Fuel Card will be entered into a prize draw offering them the chance to win £125 of FREE fuel.**

The RHA FTA Fuel Card utilises the Fuelcard Company's online fuel management systems, ensuring that operators can keep a careful eye on exactly how every penny has been spent.
