Don’t let your driver become a statistic with FTA’s new drivers’ hours DVD

According to the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), weekly rest has been the third highest Graduated Fixed Penalty offence in the last 12 months. Drivers’ hours and working time rules are enforced to protect both the driver and the public, so it is imperative that drivers understand and comply with these regulations - failure to do so can result in fines or even imprisonment.

To help ensure that drivers understand the rules, the Freight Transport Association has produced another in its popular series of training DVDs, ‘Drivers’ hours and working time rules’.

The easy to follow, 17 minute DVD will ensure that drivers understand:

rules on breaks

driving rules

night work

rest requirements

weekly work limits

key responsibilities for analogue and digital tachographs

the importance of complying with legislation

Disc two contains one set of manager’s notes, plus test papers and answer papers for use in conjunction with disc one, a penalties for non-compliance memo and an employee declaration.
