Kevin has worked in Communications leadership roles for a number of large corporates including Capita, Logica, Mitie, Balfour Beatty, KPMG and PwC.  

Project highlights include working on the sale and implementation for major Public Private Partnerships, including; Congestion Charging in London, The Criminal Records Bureau and HS2, delivering The Skills Show for 100,000 young people, and developing the Future Logistics conference at ITT!

Tim Campbell, Managing Director, Campbells Consultancy 

Tim-Campbell-kentico.pngTim is one of the leading consultants in helping fleets decarbonise and has over 35 years’ experience of working in the commercial vehicle industry. He was the Senior Commercial Vehicle Consultant for the UK National Grid, Ventures Division, looking at the strategic routes to zero emissions for van and trucks. Tim holds Galileo Master Certificate in Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage from the European Energy Centre, is a council member of Zemo, contributed to the government’s Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce Report and consulted on the Government Consultation document on the route to zero for heavy trucks

Peter White, Systems Engineer, Western Power Networks 

Peter-White-Kentico.pngPeter has worked in the electricity industry since graduating in 1991. He joined the South Wales Electricity Regional Electricity Company just after privatisation. He remains with his original employer, now Western Power Distribution. 

Peter trained as an operational engineer and experienced all aspects of distribution network maintenance, replacement, construction and Major Projects. In 1995 he became Underground Cable Engineer and was responsible for all aspects of underground cables and accessories from LV through to 132kV in a geographical patch which covered the whole WPD Company area. 

In 2017 Peter was transferred to System Development to take up responsibility as the company lead for Electric Vehicle’s, Heat Pumps, Photo Voltaic’ s, battery storage, Hydrogen and Losses for WPD. In this role he brought innovative solutions into a Low Carbon Technology area as business as usual, whilst retaining the more traditional elements of management of standards for an electricity distribution network.  

Peter is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. 

 

Urban Deliveries and Wireless Charging Trial

 

Jackie Hewson, Alternative Fuels Implementation Manager - Transport, John Lewis Partnership 

Jackie-hewson-kentico.pngJackie has +10 years experience of managing large projects and now leads the implementation of the fleet alternatives fuel strategy with the Partnership commitment to be fossil fuel free by 2030. Overall the plan involves the implementation of smart charging at over 250 fleet sites & serving c.4,500 alternatively fuelled vehicles.

 

 

 

 

James Derby, Chief Engineer - Electrical Systems, Flexible Power Systems 

James-derby-kentico.pngJames Derby is the Chief Engineer-Electrical Systems at FPS and is responsible for electric vehicle hardware fleet integration. This includes onboard vehicle wired and wireless charging systems and the integration of ancillary vehicle power supply systems. Also responsible for associated supporting electrical distribution systems - design, implementation and management.

Fergus McVey, CEO, 7th Sense Research UK 

Fergus-McVey-Kentico.pngFergus McVey is CEO at 7th Sense Research UK, a Consumer and Markets Insights agency based in London UK. Fergus has been providing data and insights to the Automotive, Sport, Luxury and Govt/3rd Sector for over 20 years. Before founding 7th Sense UK in 2015 he was Divisional Director at GfK, leading the UK Custom Automotive practice. 7th sense execute multiple projects each year for the likes of Mercedes-Benz Vans and VWCV – as well as more ordinary clients like Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and Triumph motorcycles. They help brands understand their markets and customers, so they deliver the right products and services. 

A regular speaker on future habits and habitats, Fergus is a full member of the UK Market Research Society (MRS), has published numerous papers in 2020 on travel, automation and drivers of human decision making – and has just helped a major Bavarian manufacturer plan the future of their pinnacle car brand. 

 

Annie Graham, Apprenticeship Manager, Logistics UK

Annie has extensive knowledge of quality management within the educational and apprenticeship sector, with her main focus on driving forward Logistics UK’s internal and external apprenticeship offerings with members and associated businesses.

Denise Beedell, Public Policy Manager, Logistics UK

Denise-Beedell-Kentico.pngDenise helps to deliver Logistic UK’s urban and environmental logistics policy agenda, in particular, proactively leading Logistics UK’s policy work on vans, including publications, information services and discussion forums in connection with policy and regulatory issues. Denise joined Logistics UK in August 2018 from the Federation of Small Businesses, where she was Development Manager for Greater London and led on Transport, Environment and Crime policy issues in the capital.

Laura-Moran-Kentico.pngLaura has over 30 years’ experience in the automotive sector covering various senior roles in vehicle rental, remarketing, on-line car buying and vehicle dismantling.  Laura has spent 10 years working in the van sector including the role of Commercial Vehicle Director at Hertz and now in her most recent role as Managing Director at TVL Group which includes TVL Security.   

TVL Security are the leaders in vehicle security innovation, focusing primarily on the van market and their credentials speak for themselves with TVL Security lock packs being fitted as factory options on Ford Transit vans across Europe. 

 

David Watts, Commercial Manager (UK & Ireland), Arrival 

David-watts-kentico.pngDavid is an experienced fleet professional having worked across the industry for more than 25 years, now working for the new and innovative UK electric vehicle manufacturer, Arrival Automotive, David has been at the forefront of delivering fleet sustainability and electrification for most of his career. 

 

 

 

 

David Petts, Ford Pro EV & Connectivity Brand Manager, Ford of Europe 

David-petts-kentico.pngWith a distinguished motor industry career over many years, recently supporting the launch in Europe of Ford Pro’s new generation of electrified Transit vehicles, including early customer pilot programmes for Custom PHEV and now E Transit to aid the transition to electrification. I’m also guiding the delivery of new Ford Pro software and charging solutions including Ford Pro E-Switch Assist which is a tool to further aid EV adoption.     

Prior to this I was Transit Product Manager for 11 years in the UK responsible for launching Transit Custom and the 2T Transit maintaining market leadership throughout.  

Prior to my product marketing role I worked in research and communications, managing the research programme behind extending the Transit nameplate to other Ford commercial vehicles; in particular, the research that resulted in the naming of the Transit Connect. 

In communications my responsibilities involved orchestrating everything from commercial vehicle brochures to pan-euro television campaigns such as the Transit Connect TVC ‘Block of Steel.’ I also managed the transition from the successful UK-specific ‘Backbone’ initiative to the pan-European ‘Job Done’ comms. campaign.
