Logistics UK’s Annie Graham receives education award at gala banquet

Logistics UK Apprenticeship Manager Annie Graham was awarded the prestigious Herbert Crow Memorial Award for Education by the Worshipful Company of Carmen at its Woodmongers Banquet held on 22 April. Ms Graham was recognised jointly with Carl Hughes of Hughes Driving and received the award from Richard Turfitt, Acting Traffic Commissioner for Scotland, Senior Traffic Commissioner, and Traffic Commissioner for the east of England.
The banquet, held at Mansion House in the City of London, is a joint celebration held by the Worshipful Company of Carmen and Worshipful Company of Fuellers at which the two companies’ awards celebrate all aspects of transport excellence and achievement.
Speaking after the ceremony, Annie Graham said, “Receiving the Herbert Crow Education Award alongside Carl Hughes is a very special honour, recognising the strides which have been made at Logistics UK to establish apprenticeships as part of our training portfolio. People are the lifeblood of our sector and effective apprenticeships are essential for attracting the next generation into the profession, so it is fantastic to be recognised in this way.”
The Worshipful Company of Carmen is one of the 112 livery companies in the City of London and was formed in 1517. It represents all aspects of the transport and logistics profession promoting achievement and the advancement of knowledge through awards, lectures and social activities. Worshipful Company of Fuellers is a modern City of London Livery Company representing the energy industry.
