Logistics UK Transport Manager conferences attract highest attendance ever: limited spaces left for remaining events

Friday 22 November 2024

Is your compliance knowledge up to date? There are only two remaining live events to go – in Falkirk and Birmingham - and a virtual event in Logistics UK’s well respected Transport Manager 2024 conference series, so anyone wishing to attend is being advised to book as soon as possible to ensure their place and keep their compliance knowledge up to date.

Each conference features a line-up of expert senior industry speakers, including presentations from the Metropolitan Police on dealing with serious collision investigations; sessions advising how to recruit and retain the best drivers and an opportunity to hear direct from the Traffic Commissioners, outlining their priorities for the year ahead and advising how to avoid non-compliance.

This year’s bookings have exceeded all previous records in the event’s 24-year history, with almost 2,000 delegates having already attended or booked to attend this year’s series of conferences, which is sponsored by Brigade Electronics. In fact, there has been such demand for places that half of the ten venues in the series have been fully booked or oversubscribed, according to the organisers.

Transport managers are legally required to keep their professional knowledge up to date and ensure their operations remain compliant, making this a must-attend event for anyone responsible for vehicle fleets. Transport Manager is a recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event, and attendees will receive a certificate evidencing their attendance. CPD is a term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop, enhance and maintain their abilities.

The one-day conference also includes a legislative round-up and compliance update, as well as sessions on General Safety Regulation (GSR) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the legal responsibilities of a transport manager, the revision of the Transport Manager CPC syllabus and transport managers in a connected and autonomous world.

Kevin Green, Logistics UK’s Director of Policy and Communications, said: “Transport Manager 2024 is proving to be the most popular ever in the history of the conference series. We’ve done everything we can to accommodate everyone who wants to come, but inevitably some of the venues have been oversubscribed. I recommend that anyone who would like to follow the example of their peers and come along to a Transport Manager event should book as soon as possible, while we still have a few places left. For those who are unable to come along to one of the two remaining live events, Virtual Transport Manager, which takes place on Friday 29 November, still has some capacity.”

Transport Manager is also supported by bronze sponsors BP, r2c, Weightmans, WTW and a plethora of regional exhibitors. For further information, or to book a place, please visit: https://logistics.org.uk/transport-manager

The remaining dates in the series with space still available are:

  • Macdonald Inchyra, Falkirk - Thursday 28 November
  • Virtual - Friday 29 November
  • National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham - Tuesday 3 December
