Launch of Generation Logistics Ambassador Programme

Friday 09 December 2022

We are excited to announce the launch of the Generation Logistics Ambassador Network which brings together real people, talking about real jobs and with real passion, becoming a nationwide force for the promotion of logistics as a first-choice profession. Through schools, colleges, events – both virtual and physical – and beyond, our ambassadors are ready to share all that can be explored and experienced within the diverse world of logistics, assisting young people in particular in preparing for a progressive future in our thriving sector.

Generation Logistics is an innovative cross-industry campaign over a 12-month period containing a strong programme of events, activities and promotions designed to increase the number of people considering logistics as a career, and positive sentiment about logistics, especially with key target groups including 16-24 year olds, career switchers and work returners. In short, it’s all about connecting the next generation of logistics with new opportunities while keeping the nation’s supply chain protected. This is an industry-led campaign that is also supported and partly-funded by the Department of Transport with links into other key government Departments. After its launch year when the campaign’s anticipated success will be reviewed, the initiative is expected to extend and build on its initial impact.

To support the growth of this network, and subsequently, increase the reach of the Generation Logistics campaign, please volunteer, encourage your workforce to volunteer, and help us to position logistics as the fast-paced, well-paid, and future-focused profession industry insiders know it to be. Becoming an ambassador is open to anyone, of any experience, background, and job discipline. So, if you want to get involved and find out how you and your colleagues can entice the next generation please contact Bethany Windsor via Bethany.Windsor@ciltuk.org.uk.
