ITT Hub announces Ride & Drive exhibitors

Tuesday 22 June 2021

Fourteen of the world’s most cutting-edge vehicle manufacturers have confirmed they will be participating in the much-anticipated Ride & Drive opportunity at the free new Innovation and Technology in Transport event - ITT Hub. Taking place on 30 June and 1 July 2021 at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, ITT Hub will be the largest show of its kind in 40 years.

DAF Trucks, IVECO, Renault Trucks, Fiat Professional, Mercedes-Benz, Wrightbus, Ilesbus, Switch Mobility, EVM, Pelican Yutong, BYD, ADL, Harris-Maxus and Ford will all be offering visitors the unique chance to try out their most innovative vehicles, ranging from electric vans and trucks to the world’s first hydrogen double decker bus.

Visitors will also be able to experience the first ever UK public showings of new products from Volta Trucks, Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach and Fiat Professional. Further vehicle unveils are anticipated at the two day show.

Alongside the Ride & Drive will be an Autonomous and Last-Mile Electric Hub, where visitors will have the chance to test ride electric scooters and motorbikes designed for couriers and meal deliveries, as well as last-mile electric cargo trikes and a fully autonomous passenger ‘pod’.

The Ride & Drive will take place on separate roadways – one for buses, coaches and vans and another for trucks – and will sit alongside an extensive exhibition in Farnborough’s state of the art new exhibition centre. The event will also host Logistics UK’s Future Logistics Conference, which will be headlined by British astronaut Major Tim Peake CMG.

Kevin Green, Marketing & Communications Director at Logistics UK, comments: “It is an exciting time for industry, with decarbonisation and evolving technologies set to play a key role in the future of logistics.  ITT Hub and the Future Logistics Conference is a fantastic opportunity to bring industry together to trial these emerging technologies and discuss the ideas set to revolutionise the transport and logistics sectors in the coming years.”

Mark Griffin CEO, Binswood Media adds: “Ride & Drive will be one of the most exciting and interactive parts of the ITT Hub exhibition; it is wonderful to see so many leading names signed up to take part. I am looking forward to witnessing various global brands launch their latest vehicles and seeing technology of the future in action. I am thrilled that so many manufacturers have chosen ITT Hub as the venue for visitors to have the unique opportunity to try these vehicles out for themselves.”

All visitors wanting to try a vehicle for themselves will need to pre-arrange a test drive with the exhibitor at the event and have their driving licence checked and approved at the Licence Bureau stand on site. Drug and alcohol safety experts from AlcoDigital will be providing testing services for the Ride & Drive test facility, using its innovative range of testing products to deliver quick and reliable results.

In line with the current government guidelines, ITT Hub 2021 falls within Step Three of the government’s roadmap out of lockdown. The organisers and venue have taken great care to implement safe, Covid-compliant measures for attendees, to provide peace of mind for visitors.   For more information, and to book your free place to the exhibition and conference, please visit www.itthub.co.uk – pre-registration is required for all attendees.
