Tooling up for the future – Logistics UK to host future van event

Following the recent publication of the government’s Net Zero Strategy ahead of the COP26 international conference in Glasgow, decarbonisation is rapidly climbing to the top of the logistics sector’s agenda.

The lighter end of the commercial fleet is often regarded as the “low-hanging fruit” in the decarbonisation of road freight, with vans being identified as the first suitable segment for electrification.

Logistics UK’s free-to-attend Next Generation Van 2021 event in Coventry on 9 November 2021, is designed to help van operators take their first steps towards decarbonising their fleets.

Sponsored by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners – AA, Bott, Brigade, Hertz, Lex Autolease, Quartix and TVL – the conference will bring together key industry leaders and expert speakers to explore what the next generation of vans will look like. VARTA Batteries (Clarios) will be exhibiting at the event.

Sessions will cover whether to update your fleet or retrofit your existing vehicles, maintenance of alternatively fuelled fleets, how to retain and attract talent, and measures you can put in place now to future proof your van operation.
