Van Operational Briefings now free to attend

To give as many operators as possible access to the crucial information they need to ensure their vans are operated in a safe, efficient and compliant manner, Logistics UK announced last week that its Van Operational Briefings 2021 will now be free to attend.

With just three weeks to go, the briefings will provide the latest information on compliance and operating standards, and will share vital insights into driver welfare, alternative fuels, navigating changed road space and operators’ obligations regarding vehicle safety defects and recalls.

Taking place at venues in Manchester on 14 September 2021, and Beaconsfield on 16 September 2021, the briefings are sponsored by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners: the AA, Bott Ltd, Brigade Electronics, Hertz, Lex Autolease, Quartix and TVL.

“Vans are integral to the UK economy, and even more so since the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Denise Beedell, Public Policy Manager, Logistics UK, “They are a key part of everyday life, from delivery services to utility services and whether you are a professional delivery driver, or use the vehicle to transport the tools of your trade, it is essential that you are operating the vehicle in a compliant manner, in accordance with good practice. Logistics UK is keen to ensure as many operators as possible are able to attend these vital briefings and making these free to attend is the best way of allowing that.”
