Winners of Logistics UK Van Awards 2023 announced

Six highly deserving businesses and individuals from across the logistics industry are celebrating this week following the announcement of Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2023.

The awards, which were presented during a celebratory lunch at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham on 15 September 2023, recognised the exceptional standards demonstrated by van operators and how they have gone above and beyond for their customers.

“Van operators can be undervalued or overlooked by industry, but they are invaluable to keep the economy working efficiently – which is something that has become even more obvious since the pandemic and the switch in consumer buying patterns to increased home shopping,” said Kevin Green, Director at Logistics UK.

“This is why the Van Awards are so important for the sector, as we recognise the achievements and dedication shown by operators.

“I would like to thank everyone who entered the awards and congratulate the winners; their recognition is very well deserved.”

Supported by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners – the AA, Brigade Electronics, Lex Autolease, TVL Security and Webfleet – the winners of the Logistics UK Van Awards 2023 are:

  • Hero of the Year (individual or company entry) - Ryan Webster from Carnell
  • Keeping Your Show on the Road - J. Murphy & Sons Limited
  • Innovative Van Business of the Year - The Royal Mail
  • Van Decarbonisation Award - Amey Fleet Services Ltd
  • Diversity and Inclusion Award - The Clancy Group
  • Van Safety and Compliance Award - Auto Electrical Services

“Vans are now so prevalent on our streets that many people ignore the critical role they play in ensuring that deliveries can be made in a timely fashion, which in turn keeps our economy moving,” continues Green.

“All of today’s worthy winners demonstrated the role that the humble van plays in ensuring their company’s success – these vehicles really are vital to keeping Britain trading.”

All winners of the Van Awards 2023 will comprise the shortlist for the Van Business of the Year category at Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2023, which will take place on Thursday 7 December 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
