Use online tools to help decarbonise your van fleets, Logistics UK urges

Logistics UK is urging van operators looking to decarbonise their fleets to take advantage of several online tools that have been developed by Transport for London’s (TfL’s) LoCITY project, in partnership with Cenex.

These include a commercial vehicle finder tool, fleet advice tool and information about alternative fuels. The tools can be used by operators based anywhere in the UK.

Logistics UK is a member of the LoCITY project, which helps commercial operators adopt low-emission commercial vehicles. The group includes operators, manufacturers and trade associations, and provides a platform for transport decarbonisation discussions and presentations from key stakeholders and policy makers.

Denise Beedell, Senior Policy Manager, Logistics UK, said: “The operators of light commercial vehicle fleets are under mounting pressure to decarbonise their operations at pace, with just seven years remaining before a ban is imposed on the sale of new petrol and diesel vans in the UK. This suite of online tools developed by LoCITY can help them manage that transition by offering impartial advice on alternative fuels and the low-emission commercial vehicles currently on offer, wherever they are based.”
