Logistics UK names Tony Prescott of GTS UK as the Logistics Leader of the Year


Business group Logistics UK has named Tony Prescott, Managing Director at Hull-based GTS UK, Logistics Leader of the Year at its annual Logistics Awards, held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on Thursday 7 December 2023.

Passionate about the industry and the people within it, Tony is committed to doing what he says he is going to do and never cutting corners.  

His goal is to understand customers’ needs and use his team’s expertise to provide the best outcome, as well to build a strong and happy team of colleagues.  

Under his leadership, company revenue grew by 70% last year. Core intermodal services grew by more than 10% to over £10 million, customs revenue increased by 8% and the income from the Supply Chain Management arm of the business increased by 39%. 

“The judges were highly impressed by Tony’s passion and commitment, and the success the company has achieved under his leadership,” David Wells OBE, Chief Executive at Logistics UK commented. 

“I would like to congratulate Tony Prescott on his win; he is truly the Logistics Leader of the Year.” 

David Patten, Managing Director at Abbey Logistics Group, was highly commended in this award category, which is sponsored by DHL Supply Chain. 

Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2023 recognise and celebrate the companies and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the logistics and supply industry over the past 12 months and who excel in their fields.
