Can you help RHA move supplies to Poland for Ukrainian humanitarian aid?

Following on from Logistics UK’s successful Supply Ukraine initiative, launched at the start of the war in the region, the Road Haulage Association (RHA) is currently identifying possible support among hauliers to move some much-needed humanitarian supplies to Poland.

A charity has gathered more than 500 pallets made up of medical wipes and ex-nightingale beds for people displaced by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership (SHAP) need help transporting the goods to eastern Europe and have asked for support.

They have 350 pallets in Worcester and more than 150 pallets in Birmingham.

A full load of wipes equals about 19t double-stacked and there are52 pallets that need moving in total (is that what you mean?).

If they are unable to secure transport, the supplies could end up in landfill.

Are you interested in helping?

Please let Phil Snowden, RHA Membership Director know if you can help.

About the charity:

SHAP came together in the wake of the Russian invasion last year.

Eighteen months later they’ve collected, sorted, boxed and delivered more than 1,350 tonnes of aid into eastern Ukraine where the impact of war is at its worst.

Volunteers converted an old bus earlier this year into a field hospital for wounded soldiers and civilians in Ukraine. The charity also supports Ukrainian refugees living in and around Swindon.
