Operation Brock deployed for last May ’23 Bank Holiday weekend

On 21 May the contraflow operation on the M20 known as Operation Brock was reinstated to deal with any delays during the last May Bank Holiday this weekend.

High passenger numbers are expected to travel from Kent to mainland Europe during this time, so the holding system has been deployed to improve Kent’s resilience and try to ensure a smoother flow of traffic through the region.

The six-mile diversion through Ashford will remain in place and members should be aware that hauliers must be ready to join rolling queues and have all their paperwork in order and to hand to avoid further delays.
