Expert transport researcher to headline Logistics UK’s Vans Today 2022

Expert research specialist Fergus McVey of 7th Sense Research will be the keynote speaker at Logistics UK’s Vans Today 2022, where he will provide unique insight into the van market, derived from robust qualitative and quantitative research, and consider potential changes which will affect the way businesses operate.

Driverless vehicles, alternatively fuelled options and the zero-emission transition: the world of vans is evolving rapidly and operators must stay ahead of the competition to succeed in the new environment that all this change is creating. Expert research specialist Fergus McVey of 7th Sense Research will be the keynote speaker at Logistics UK’s Vans Today 2022, where he will provide unique insight into the van market, derived from robust qualitative and quantitative research, and consider potential changes which will affect the way businesses operate.

Taking place in Sheffield on 26 April 2022 and London on 28 April 2022, the free-to-attend events are sponsored by Logistics UK’s Van Gold Partners: the AA, Bott Ltd, Brigade Electronics, Lex Autolease, Quartix, Willis Towers Watson and TVL.

Event chair, Denise Beedell, Public Policy Manager at Logistics UK, comments: “7th Sense Research combines robust data insights with expert understanding of the market to paint a thorough picture of the evolving world of vans.  With the pressing need to transition to lower emission vehicles, and new technologies such as autonomous capabilities on the horizon, operators and managers must be aware of the opportunities and the challenges these developments present. With so many changes in technology and legislation afoot, it is vital to stay up to date with the latest insights to succeed; don’t miss your chance to secure your free place on this event now.”

Fergus McVey of 7th Sense Research comments: “In the past 12 months, 7th Sense Research has conducted thousands of interviews with van operators, business owners and members of the public to find out what’s really going on in the worlds of business and transport. As van operators face the unique challenges of building back from Covid-19 and the transformation of shopping, cities and work, I’m going to give you some quite startling insights into how we live now and what the next generation of consumers are going to want from the next generation of your business.”

Speakers at Vans Today 2022 will also include experts from RED Training, Metworks, Lex Autolease, Weightmans, and Logistics UK’s Member Advice Centre, who together will share up-to-the-minute information on key van operational issues. This includes innovative solutions to technological challenges, driver wellbeing and responsibilities, maintaining second-hand vehicles, decarbonisation strategies and much more.
