Play your part in helping develop DVLA’s online tachograph card service

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is asking Logistics UK members to help it develop its new online tachograph card application service.

The team that is working on this new service at DVLA will be releasing it to a small selection of its customers ahead of the full launch and is keen to involve Logistics UK members.

The tachograph card service team is particularly keen to hear from operators that employ drivers who will be applying for their first tachograph card, or will be renewing or replacing their card.

“I would strongly urge any members with drivers who need a new or replacement tachograph card – or who need to renew their card – to work with DVLA to help develop its online service ahead of its wider rollout,” said Phil Lloyd, Head of Engineering Policy at Logistics UK. “This is an excellent opportunity to help DVLA refine its service and suggest improvements to the way that tachograph cards are requested or renewed online.”

Members who are interested in working with DVLA can email Phil Lloyd who will pass on their details to DVLA. Details of the drivers are not required at this stage.
