Nominations for Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2022 close in one more week

Nominations for Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2022 will close in a little over a week (Friday 15 July 2022), and with competition stiff across the sector, the business group is urging all operators to apply without delay for the chance to be recognised as the best in the industry.

Concluding with an event to be held at the Hyatt Regency, Birmingham on Friday 16 September 2022, the awards ceremony – which includes a drinks reception and a three-course lunch – recognises the ‘best of the best’ and celebrates the van and light commercial vehicle (LCV) operators which have made a significant contribution to the industry throughout the past 12 months. As nominations for the awards close on Friday 15 July 2022, those wishing to enter are encouraged to do so without delay, regardless of whether they operate a large fleet of hundreds of vehicles, a mixed fleet, or just a single vehicle.

David Wells, Chief Executive, Logistics UK, said: “Van drivers play a crucial role in the UK economy and are often required to meet challenging time pressures while navigating traffic and dealing with changing road spaces and updated legislation. By placing driver well-being, safety, efficiency, innovation and sustainability at the heart of their businesses, these van drivers are setting the best example of what the logistics industry requires in order to function at its highest potential. Their resolve and tremendous hard work do not go unnoticed, and Logistics UK is proud to be celebrating the dedication of those working in this vital sector.”

The awards are supported by the Van Gold Partners: The AA, Bott Ltd, Brigade Electronics, Lex Autolease, Quartix, TVL and WTW. Nominations are now open for the following categories:

  • Hero of the Year, sponsored by WTW
  • SME Van Operator of the Year, sponsored by TVL
  • Winning at Wellbeing, sponsored by Bott

  • Keeping your Show on the Road, sponsored by The AA
  • Using technology for good, sponsored by Brigade Electronics
