Navigating the cost squeeze

Content sponsored by Webfleet

Costs are undoubtedly a key concern for all sectors of the UK economy currently, including the logistics sector.

A report from Webfleet ‘The cost of business squeeze’ has highlighted that following escalated costs, 85% of fleets have been tasked with cutting fleet spend in 2023 and that some of the biggest areas fleets are seeing the most cost increases include fuel (petrol and diesel), administration and service, maintenance and repair.

Despite this, the report outlines that more than half of fleet businesses (55%) predict growth for their operations in the year ahead with 74% of surveyed respondents wanting to review fleet management systems and processes to help reduce stress on their drivers and themselves.

Webfleet – Logistics UK Van Gold Partner and Bridgestone's globally trusted fleet management solution – recognises the current challenges faced by operators as highlighted in the report, and provides innovative fleet management solutions to cut fuel and maintenance costs, as well as optimise business processes.

With sustainable cost control key to ensuring a competitive future, fleet operators looking to review their management systems are encouraged to visit www.webfleet.com for more information.
