Van operators invited to attend industry events in September

Logistics UK is inviting its members that operate van fleets to attend one of three events it is holding in September.

The first two dates – 14 and 16 September 2021 – are for Logistics UK’s Van Operational Briefings, designed to help operators navigate the post-pandemic recovery.

With an unrivalled line-up of speakers drawn from Logistics UK and the wider industry, the briefings will give members the opportunity to discuss the role of enforcement and compliance within their operation. The wide-ranging programme will include topics as diverse as upgrading the grid supply at your depot to vehicle safety defects and recalls.

The third date – 24 September 2021 – is for Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2021. Celebrating the best van operators and their achievements in the van industry, the Van Awards recognises and rewards businesses that place safety and compliance at the heart of their operations. The entry deadline was recently extended to 12 August so remains open to all van operators. This year, the winners of each of the Van Awards will then form the shortlist for the Van Operator of the Year Award, which will be presented at the Logistics Awards on 9 December 2021.

“Given the restrictions on meeting up with our peers from across the industry during the pandemic, both the Van Operational Briefings and Van Awards 2021 offer a great opportunity to network with likeminded transport professionals, learn about the latest innovations, share best practice and celebrate success,” said Kevin Green, Marketing and Communications Director, Logistics UK. “I look forward to seeing many new and familiar faces at our events in September to discuss the way forward for this vitally important segment of the logistics industry.”
