Continental upgrades LODC simulator tool to help customers achieve substantial savings

In response to ever-changing requirements in the commercial vehicle aftermarket sector, Continental has recently upgraded its tried-and-tested LODC simulation tool, which has been tailored to meet operators’ diverse fleet management needs.

As part of the company’s commitment to helping customers minimise Lowest Overall Driving Costs (LODC), the updated LODC tool accurately simulates the impact of VECTO while also including key aftermarket factors such as reducing operating costs and fuel consumption.

In turn, this enables fleet customers to optimise their tyre strategy and achieve potential savings with the help of precise data models. The upgraded tool helps identify the most suitable tyres for specific operating conditions and forecasts their impact on fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

This, combined with the ContiLifeCycle retread concept and the various digital solutions available, such as ContiConnect, means operators can minimise their fleet’s total operating costs while improving their environmental footprint.

Customers’ requirements for innovative solutions and a comprehensive service approach have spurred Continental to utilise both digital tools and consultancy to help fleet customers achieve their LODC target. This enables fleet operators to be more competitive and ensures both economic success and greater sustainability in the long term.

The upgrade to the simulation tool underlines Continental’s approach to thinking beyond its products and developing integrated solutions that meet customers’ specific needs. By enhancing its service offering in this way, Continental solidifies its reputation as a reliable and forward-thinking partner for the commercial vehicle aftermarket sector.
