CNS. Relentless Innovation since 1986

Sponsored content

Community Network Services (CNS) has been supplying digital trade solutions to the ports and logistics sector since 1986. From the introduction of the first computerised systems to the latest border management products that help our clients navigate smoothly through the ever-changing customs and compliance landscape, we have been bringing smart solutions to market for almost 40 years.

Streamlining Processes Across Air Land and Sea

Our user-friendly products are aimed at helping our customers and the ports and logistics communities make their business processes faster, easier, more efficient, and more profitable. We pride ourselves in offering first-class support from our own subject matter experts via our dedicated service desk every day of the year.

Compass Port Community System

Our Port Community System (PCS) Compass is approved by UK Customs (HMRC) for management of import, export and transhipment processes. We collaborate closely with our customers, customs authorities, and other government agencies to understand current and future requirements and to ensure the continued compliance of our solutions for our markets.

Customs Declaration Management System (CDMS)

Simple, intuitive, and easy to use cloud-based platform to submit CDS, CHIEF and UK transit declarations. Facilitates the submission of declarations for CNS and MCP ports. Other features include a configurable dashboard, MUCR processing, party directory and document storage.

NEW - CCS-UK Integration

Our latest enhancement is the integration of one of the most sought-after functionalities to our CDMS. We have successfully achieved the CCS-UK Agent Imports Accreditation, a significant milestone that enables both new and existing CNS customers with a comprehensive solution for all their declaration requirements. Linking directly with CCS – the UK’s pre-existing electronic air cargo community – our platform offers increased efficiency, flexibility, and access to airlines transit shed operators, and customs brokers, making it easier for them to declare inventory-linked goods.

Our CDMS now offers a unified platform enabling users to make declarations for various import types, which adds to our comprehensive suite of services, now covering all trade frontiers – land, air, and sea.

Enhanced Speed and Efficiency

The centralised digital platform now consolidates all customer activities in the UK into a single, intuitive interface, streamlining the movement of goods throughout the country’s trade ecosystem. Linking directly with CCS – the UK’s pre-existing electronic air cargo community – our platform offers increased efficiency, flexibility, and access to airlines transit shed operators, and customs brokers, making it easier for them to declare inventory-linked goods.

CrossBorder by CNS

Recent years have seen increased complexity and the growth of administrative burden in the process of moving cargo between the UK and Europe, GB and NI, impacting on your time and resource required for everyday business. To counter this, we have developed CrossBorder to simplify your business operations. Under the umbrella of CrossBorder, we offer two innovative products, BEEMS, and Safety & Security.

BEEMS: Your gateway to effortless GMR’s and PBN’s

BEEMS, created to ease administration, saving you significant amounts of time with the reassurance that your efficient movement is complying with fast-moving and frequent regulatory updates. A single multi-lingual platform for all your needs. This includes real-time co-ordination between drivers and operations, and is integrated with the UK’s GVM’s, Irelands Revenue and France’s Douane.

Safety & Security: Ensuring compliance with ease

It is compulsory for all hauliers carrying goods into Europe from Great Britain to submit a Safety and Security Declaration (also called an ENS Declaration) to the Import Control System (ICS) for the EU country the goods are entering.  Designed to be intuitive and user-friendly it offers helpful smart prompts and remedial actions which reduce errors, enhancing speed and efficiency. Stay ahead of regulatory changes with real-time compliance updates, ensuring your operations remain compliant and penalty free.

Container Enquiry API

If you are operating container haulage at DP World’s London Gateway or Southampton terminals, you can view your container status in real time using our Where’s My Container WMC solution - also available via API.

Simpler Smarter Trading

With these user-friendly enhancements, errors and data entry time are reduced, giving customers the ability to complete all declaration tasks faster and more efficiently than ever before.
