New government toolkit designed to help employers get the right job candidates through their doors

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched a new toolkit to support its Way to Work campaign.

A new partnership between government and employers, Way to Work focuses on getting 500,000 jobseekers into work by the end of June 2022.

FILL VACANCIES WITH JOB-READY CANDIDATES

Its aim is to help employers fill their roles with job-ready candidates. The freshly updated Way to Work employer and stakeholder toolkit shares some top-level information about what Way to Work is, how Jobcentre Plus can help businesses and provides some examples and suggestions for how employers can celebrate close local partnership working with Jobcentre Plus to meet recruitment needs, across social media channels.

TIGHT LABOUR MARKET LEADING TO TOUGH RECRUITMENT OUTLOOK

Alexandra Herdman, Public Policy Manager, Logistics UK, said: “This week’s ONS figures reveal that the UK is currently experiencing an extremely tight labour market and many of our members are consequently reporting acute challenges with their recruitment activity.

“Way to Work, a government-industry partnership, can help match the right candidates with the right vacancies. I urge all members looking to recruit to download the Way to Work toolkit, as it gives employers access to a folder of downloadable assets and advises on how to celebrate the successes they have enjoyed finding and recruiting suitable candidates to fill their roles.”
