Future Logistics Conference to be chaired by former TfL chief
Logistics UK's Future Logistics Conference, to be held online on 13 November 2020, will be chaired by Leon Daniels OBE, the former Managing Director of Transport for London.
After a 40-year career in transport in which he held senior roles in a range of major companies, Daniels was recently appointed to the Net Zero Board, which offers advice on transport decarbonisation to the Department for Transport.
EXPERT SPEAKERS CONFIRMED
Hosted on a state-of-the-art, immersive live events platform, the free-to-attend Future Logistics Conference is being sponsored by the AA, Bott, Brigade Electronics, Cool Kit, Lex Autolease, Mobil Delvac and Quartix, and aims to give delegates an opportunity to hear from thought leaders and experts, before the main ITT Hub event and conference next May. More than 20 expert speakers and panellists have now been confirmed for the one-day virtual event, including Andy Eastlake, Managing Director of LowCVP, Graeme Cooper, Project Director of Electric Vehicles at National Grid, Richard Skidmore, Head of Connectivity at Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, Phil Roe, Chief Operating Officer at UKI, DHL, and Elliot Shaw, Executive Director of Strategy and Planning, Highways England.
FIVE FORWARD-LOOKING SESSIONS
There will be five sessions: Future Vehicles and Future Fuels, which will explore procuring alternatively fuelled vehicles currently in development; Future Business Strategies, which will look at the business models logistics may need to adopt in the future; Future Data, where panellists from a range of sectors will share their vision and expertise; Future Communities, which will look at how changes in demography will impact on future infrastructure needs; and Future Borders, which will discuss the borders of tomorrow.
