LCV sales at BCA end 2025 on a high note

Sales of light commercial vehicles at BCA in December were up 11% compared to last year.

Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) at BCA sold strongly during December, with values averaging £8,029 across the month – £126 less than in November but 11% ahead of December 2024.

The average used LCV value was steady at £8,060, and over 9,300 unique buyers purchased LCVs, marking a 4.7% rise compared to the previous year, with average values rising by 2.8% year-on-year.

Stuart Pearson, COO at BCA UK said: “The LCV market remained very positive into December, reflecting the demand we have seen across the wholesale sector throughout 2025, and representing a significant improvement on the previous year.”

“With intense competition for the best presented stock and the supply of vans under five years old still recovering from the pandemic downturn, our 7-day a week online LCV programme attracted record numbers of buyers over the past year. Year-on-year sales performance saw a significant uplift across every KPI as sales conversions, sold volumes, average values and speed of sale all improved in 2025.”

The news comes as the SMMT reported that the new LCV market declined by 10.3% in 2025.
