Van webinar to discuss Van Excellence mentoring

Sponsored content

This year Logistics UK is celebrating the 11-year anniversary of its Van Excellence scheme. Launched in 2010, Van Excellence – sponsored by the AA, Bott Ltd, Brigade Electronics, Hertz UK Ltd, Lex Autolease, Quartix, and TVL – allows operators to demonstrate their commitment to safer, more efficient and sustainable van fleets by reaching a series of compliance standards.

And, since its inception, the scheme has gone from strength to strength with many household names, including National Grid, Wayfair and Sainsbury’s achieving certification.

While reaching the required operational standard may seem a daunting task for some companies, many existing Van Excellence operators act as mentors to guide those new companies interested in joining the programme through the process. To provide more information on this, Van Excellence mentoring will be the focus of Logistics UK’s upcoming free-to-attend Van Gold Partner webinar, sponsored by Bott Ltd. The webinar will also give attendees the opportunity to hear more from operators who have recently achieved accreditation and ask questions about the scheme and its benefits.

Stephen Turner, Sales Director Vehicle Enhancement Division, Bott Ltd, said: “Our organisation is both a long-term Van Excellence Gold Partner and a recognised Van Excellence van operator. We embrace the aims of the scheme in improving best practice amongst fleets of all sizes and we provide advice and mentoring to help others gain this valuable recognition. The improved efficiency and safety that participation yields, coupled with the knowledge that the vans are being operated legally and to current standards, helps to enhance an operator's reputation.”

While safely operated vans play a crucial role in the UK economy, their drivers' welfare is equally important. As a result, the webinar will also delve into driver well-being initiatives, something Bott Ltd has been actively promoting as part of its involvement the scheme.

The webinar will be taking place on the 8 June at 10am. To book your place, please click on the link below.
